Friends of North Rigton (FoNR) and Friends of All Saints (FoAS) are parent committees who volunteer to raise much needed funds to support the schools. They are made up of core committees, along with you – our parents and children, who volunteer and give your time to support the various activities organised to raise money for our schools.
What do the FoNR and FoAS do?
We organise a number of events including social gatherings. Examples of this include:
• Christmas Fair
• Valentines Disco
• Parent’s Quiz Night
• Coffee & Cake Mornings
What difference do they make to the schools?
FoNR and FoAS have helped in so many ways; from replenishing the school libraries to buying classroom and outdoor equipment and games.
The great thing is we try to have fun whilst we do it and it’s a really nice way for everyone, parents, teachers and children to come together, make new friends and make a difference to our schools. It’s not only fundraising – we also support school events for example providing refreshments at school productions and Sports Days.
New ideas are always welcome and willing volunteers to help us run all of these events are absolutely crucial.
If you would like to know more about FoNR or FoAS or get involved, please approach the school office who will pass your details onto the committee.
