On Monday 14th March I a held a special collective worship for the school when we explored the issues of the war in Ukraine. The children were very well informed and showed tremendous compassion towards the Ukrainian people. I know many of the staff have been following it up in class in age-appropriate ways and Theo and Dan – my charity advocates are keen to develop this within school.
I would like to invite the children to come to school wearing blue and yellow (the colours of the Ukrainian flag) on Wednesday 30th March to show their support. Please don’t send any money but attached are the links to the DfE recommended JustGiving page and also to Harrogate City of Sanctuary who we have supported previously with their work to help refugees.
